Throughout the semester I learned a lot of different new techniques. There have been some techniques I have learned before this class but I never knew my full potential in writing and improving them. As challenging as this class was to me, I learned rhetorical knowledge, critical thinking, and process.  Rhetorical knowledge helped me write the documentary summary because it taught me how to analyze contexts and how to connect with the audience by explaining what the article itself is trying to emphasize on and how it was it was using pathos, logos and ethos in order to show its purpose. It helped me focus on what the purpose of the article, summary, documentary was trying to show the audience versus how the author or director was trying to get his/her point across through the film/article.  Critical thinking has always been asked of me when it comes to writing so I thought I knew all about it, I was wrong.
